Epoxy Primer Over Por 15

4/28/2010 - Ark Pin - Rio de Janeiro (22 km)

Our second Camino is over. With the first we left the hostel at 7.00 clock and walked through eucalyptus forests and through small idyllic village with palm trees and rose trees in Santiago. After about 10 kilometers, we passed the airport Lavacolla and after 18 kilometers we were on the Monte do Gozo (Mount of Joy) at the local monument, which commemorates the visit of Pope John Paul II in Santiago in 1999. All the guide books say that you can see from here the first time the towers of the Cathedral of Santiago. Two years ago we had to abandon because harshest weather for this event, but yesterday was the left tower can be seen clearly. More and more pilgrims got together and it roared true Freudenstuerme from. A really wonderful atmosphere. Meli had its Duracell day, which meant that they put in the last kilometers an incredible pace in the day and formally zuschoss on the entrance sign. Somehow it came to both of us to vote independently of each other in mind when passing the plate, the "Schoetzeleed" by the Foeoess. The many Spaniards must have had the impression that we have "not all reqs Christmas tree" around us, and perhaps also because what was in it ... too great was the joy of arriving. We are billeted for the three nights before our departure in the cozy inn "Acuario" and I am only haute than an hour on the ear. Then was the symbolic embrace of the Holy James in the Cathedral on the program. Against all dire predictions, which spoke of an hour-long wait at the entrance, was not really much going on. We then visited the grave and apostles took us a few minutes for a quiet end of our pilgrimage to the church. Although we, like last time, too, have the sense of having to eat less, our stomach growling now and we visited a local pizzeria. Since the hostel is located about 2 km outside the city center, we wanted to have breakfast in the morning at the hostel, and so we left some money in a supermarket ... and somehow that was about it. I paid tribute to our morning's pace and fell into bed at 20.00 clock. Meli was a little later.
