Epoxy Primer Over Por 15

4/28/2010 - Ark Pin - Rio de Janeiro (22 km)

Our second Camino is over. With the first we left the hostel at 7.00 clock and walked through eucalyptus forests and through small idyllic village with palm trees and rose trees in Santiago. After about 10 kilometers, we passed the airport Lavacolla and after 18 kilometers we were on the Monte do Gozo (Mount of Joy) at the local monument, which commemorates the visit of Pope John Paul II in Santiago in 1999. All the guide books say that you can see from here the first time the towers of the Cathedral of Santiago. Two years ago we had to abandon because harshest weather for this event, but yesterday was the left tower can be seen clearly. More and more pilgrims got together and it roared true Freudenstuerme from. A really wonderful atmosphere. Meli had its Duracell day, which meant that they put in the last kilometers an incredible pace in the day and formally zuschoss on the entrance sign. Somehow it came to both of us to vote independently of each other in mind when passing the plate, the "Schoetzeleed" by the Foeoess. The many Spaniards must have had the impression that we have "not all reqs Christmas tree" around us, and perhaps also because what was in it ... too great was the joy of arriving. We are billeted for the three nights before our departure in the cozy inn "Acuario" and I am only haute than an hour on the ear. Then was the symbolic embrace of the Holy James in the Cathedral on the program. Against all dire predictions, which spoke of an hour-long wait at the entrance, was not really much going on. We then visited the grave and apostles took us a few minutes for a quiet end of our pilgrimage to the church. Although we, like last time, too, have the sense of having to eat less, our stomach growling now and we visited a local pizzeria. Since the hostel is located about 2 km outside the city center, we wanted to have breakfast in the morning at the hostel, and so we left some money in a supermarket ... and somehow that was about it. I paid tribute to our morning's pace and fell into bed at 20.00 clock. Meli was a little later.

Dip Recipes From Jack Astor

04/27/2010 - Wiki - Ark Pin (22 km)

Today started early in unexpected and undesirable, as was announced at the hostel once more getting up at 5:00 clock. Too bad, we had slept so well ;-) As consideration of the universe for the early start but we were rewarded with the most beautiful dawn of the whole Caminos. With consideration for my ever walk again reporting, progress was slow, we estimated for needing the upcoming 22 km in a constant up and down in Galicia about 7 hours. The pace was also the rapidly rising temperatures affected. At 11:30 clock we passed a small hamlet in a thermometer, which already indicated whopping 28 degrees. Since skin cream was announced, to avoid sunburn. Melissa and I took advantage of the present day, to let our experience of the last two weeks to review your, and thank God we are allowed to hold as a conclusion that there were not so few and also quite a few plans that we would like to implement at home. It was rewarding 14 days, when we arrive in Santiago tomorrow and St. James will embrace and we would like to miss despite all the difficulties and setbacks. The Camino was physically and emotionally secure a bigger challenge than last time, gave us but again given answers to some important questions to us and us in dealing with resistance strengthened. We have again allowed to meet many people with whom we are a part of the way gone together and some of which we have not seen the last time. @ Ralf, I know you read this ... chin up ... .. you'll make this a pinch on the yellow flip-flops ;-))

Tomorrow morning it is so on the last leg, passing Lavacolla at the airport (which roughly means "to wash genitals" as, since the medieval pilgrims have probably cleaned more thoroughly before they are moved to the city) and about the Monte do Gozo, the cathedral, where we will spend tomorrow afternoon. On Thursday a trip is to Cape Finisterre on the program, where we will again burn a garment as a symbol back calm worries and fears. It certainly is with me this time a sock ;-(

Because today we had plenty of opportunities for reflection, are also more sayings of the day:

life is what one happens if you just make other plans. (unknown)

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they actions.
Eighth be on your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become your character.
Watch your character, for he is your destiny. (Unknown)

On objectives of your desires you will miss least one thing: Walking to your destination.

Black Suit And Apple Green Shirt What Tie

26/04/2010 - Ruhig ist's gewesen ...

Hi,

calmly walked songwriter in recent days, which is in turn a lack Internet terminals ... the supply of internet connections seems to be more likely to have increased since gone back along the path. But now I have another opportunity to write a short report about our last days.
Am 22.04. Are we, as my foot pain is getting worse and I run almost without support could not, again with the bus down. We have followed the plan, which we had taken prior to our trip, the plateau between Burgos and Leon to skip lunch and have taken the bus directly to Leon. In Leon, we billeted us in the urban hostel. An absolute pleasure ... after our return in the coming week I will post a picture on this ;-) The external appearance is deceptive, however. Despite about 200 beds and youth groups to 50 people a friendly atmosphere and we have the opportunity to exchange views with one or the other taken on the bus ride fellow pilgrims. In the afternoon we used to visit the cathedral, which during 700 years of legendary built and opened in 2010 every day because of the Holy Year is. Because of the usual meal times in Spain (from about 20.00 clock in the evening, the kitchen is open in the restaurants), we departed once today "from the right path down" and provided us the BURGER KING with a delicious menu. Before again, talk, the way I would just because of the culinary side go ... hey guys, I've already lost 8 kg ;-) Whether the bus ride or the food have made us so tired ... no idea ... but at 20.30 clock we both were already asleep in bed. On 23
morning I put there is very little pain in the foot and so we decided to stage a short of about 20 km to Villadangos del Paramo to wander. A reasonably safe affair, runs the way but only on the edge of the highway 120 to Astorga, and so we would have the opportunity, if the health of us draw a line through the bill would, in some small villages to board a bus. Was not necessary. In fine weather, as we are almost at all during our entire trip could enjoy, we created the Complete, 20 km. More, it would also have allowed not to be. The hostel is clean and comfortable in Villadangos therefore with camp beds and a nice kitchen. In the evening, an English woman then provides amusement, called the snorer in every 50 people dorm to order and asked to change the room ... wonderful ... I do not know what people expect sometimes ... they are Hostels Although in most cases in order and the hygienic The default is to believe, especially in the private hostels, significantly higher than Hapes book does it, but from a hotel where they are far away. In any case, it managed the nice lady not to move even a snorer to get changed. Who would have thought ;-) Very nice by the way was an experience in a local bar .. due to a Fiesta in Castile and Leon, all shops closed today and we had to provide in said bar with a few drinks. We were with a big hello from the inhabitants of the village who had gathered apparently complete, welcomed us and we wanted to discover the secrets of a card game, which will be formally celebrated here. I know after watching anderthalbstuendigem now the rules. The winner is whoever yells loudest ;-))
On 24 we continued our way around the Herrgottsfruehe towards Astorga. The stage would be 33 km long, so we recognized that we spend part of this card includes a bus. We managed a total of 15 km to the Hospital de Orbigo, where there were two years ago in a bar, a wonderful pound cake. Even before yesterday again ... hmmm ... all Piler be asked in this bar to perpetuate themselves in a guest book and when we had finished our record, the waitress still remembered in all seriousness because we were two years ago, there already and digs out the book and then our record ... really sweet. Our bus will then put the remaining 17 km back to Astorga and sought a place to sleep in the hostel of the Friends of the Caminos Astorga. Hospitalero Alfredo was a really nice person, who rejoiced most extreme when he heard that we come from Aachen ... it is the other pilgrimage to Aachen Hoexter passed in 2002 and raved about in the skies of our home town. He gave us a map with all routes in Westdeutschlnd Jacob. An impressive network and we began to make plans for our next Camino. Nijmegen would be sure nice to Liege to Cologne or Trier, the distance that a former colleague has passed some time ago and has about it veoeffentlicht his book "My third way". We visited in the Roman Astorga Museum and the Cathedral. The GAUDI Palace outside before we left ... we had seen him two years ago and he is only impressive from the outside. In the evening we were asked by Alfredo, perpetuate our online guestbook of the hostel. We did that of course you. The result is online and you can see it under www.pilgrimportrait.com.
Yesterday, on 25 We then put a Busetappe to get to our destination much closer. can we took the bus to Lugo, the capital of the region, not knowing how we would get stuck, because there is not really a nationwide bus network, but just about every Tour released over a radius of 20 km. Once in Lugo we found an immediate subsequent bus service, which according to us Melide and thus brought back to the Camino. We were still 50 km from Santiago and the 50 km we were seeking to complete on foot. Melide the way, has a reputation as the best pulpo (octopus) served in Spain and Melissa wanted to not let me think again. It staggered us in a Pulperia in which the octopus cooked in front of the guests in huge cauldrons, then was cut and served. In view of the tentacles and suction cups on the plate I decided I would rather for a salad plate. I still tried to look like this Melis octopus, which was served with olive oil and pepper ... not bad ... would have to just different, it would even be great. But so ... no, thank you! After dinner we sat still for some time in the marketplace of Melide and watched the young talent in the Primera Division for the football games. That was funny, because in addition to some of us older ladies were sitting on a bench and again involuntarily involved in the play were by the way ;-) The local inn was described in our Route-guides as "strong complete refurbishing. This renovation was carried out to date also, so the inn was built as a container in a village hall. For a night quite useful, if not some Spaniards had set itself the goal crazy to go today, the last 50 km to Santiago and broken up at 4.30 so would be. At 7.00 we went clock even for us after the third last stage Arzua. Galicia offers eucalyptus forests, palm trees and the famous granaries an idyllic atmosphere. The current 15 kilometers went in spite of the known ailments such as foot lubricated, so we were already at 13.00 clock with a slight sunburn in Arzua and moved into our beds in the private hostel "Don Quixote". The showers here are about as big as our kitchen, this is a washing machine (urgently necessary), dryer and internet. So all we need. Before I started this post, I am sure the website of Ryanair, and that our flight on 1 May start as scheduled. So right now everything goes according to plan. Tomorrow we go to Arca O Pino and the day after passing the airport on the last 20 km to Santiago. If it is the Internet Cafe in Arca still there, I'll report back tomorrow. For today I have a quote of the day:
The biggest risk in life is that one is too cautious. (Alfred Adler)

How Long Will Ginger Bread Dough

04/21/2010 - 04/20/2010

This morning it was difficult for us to pack our luggage and us to make our way to the Estacion de Autobuses. To always this feeling, have not fulfilled our mission in mind ... at the bus stop we met fellow pilgrims as 5, which has the same fate as me ... most of it had caught on the Achilles tendon. After 45-minute bus ride (40 km to the madness price of 2.85 EUR) we arrived in Burgos. We ate our breakfast brought along in the city park and searched for the urban hostel. It was renovated in 2009 and is now very clean with large lounge and many hot showers so. We met Frank and Jacqueline visited again in the afternoon and the cathedral, which impressed us with enormous pomp and countless art treasures. Meanwhile, I sit for a delicious dinner pilgrims back to the hostel and my mood is improving. The outlook for the coming days because definitely be back. Meli is sitting next to me the way, along with Martin, a good 70-year old American, who with his backpack hydration system, believe it or not, has filled red wine and also in between now and then takes a sip from the (whiskey) bottle. Hard to believe ... but the Good is more than 40 km every day! Either he has no pain or what he has and she is due to the mind-expanding middle sch ... whatever ;-))

Homemade Boat Steering

Busfahrt nach Burgos - Pause in Belorado

As the pain in the morning not better but rather worse, were we had forced a break and say goodbye to our fellow pilgrims Frank and Jacqueline. The Pilgergefuehl that is increasingly under, probably against the background that we have received answers to our key questions in the first days of the road. More and more often we play with the Idea to break our year 's pilgrimage prematurely and make us at home on the Elimination of the things that we have identified in recent days as stressful. A look at the Internet tells us, however, that it is currently not so easy to embark on a journey home. Ryanair to 22.04. All flights from Santiago gecancelled and also prevails in the English train stations for long-distance lines, the pure chaos. our Christian fellow pilgrims from Austria, we have repeatedly taken short time, received more bad news from home and wanted zurureckreisen immediately. He came by bus to Madrid, but there was neither a flight he could still book a long-distance train, since the English accounting system stuck because of the rush on them Traveler had collapsed. He now travels to Leon and so is the way to 26.04. . Continue On this day, he will then get a flight to Vienna.

So I hobbled in the morning, supported by Meli, the Centro de Salud in Belorado and a doctor looked at after only two hours of waiting my foot. Watching is not quite correct because he only left to describe what had happened and ordered me two age break and painkillers. After all, he makes more than the doc in Pamplona and bandaged left my right leg. It did so incredibly well that I could even go back then to some extent. However, it was natural for a hike of 25 km and that the next day in any way to think. So we went back the hostel, and pondered over the progress of our journey. We agreed that if I would ever again be able to run, no hammer out 15 stages more and so we booked our flight back home after a long superiority of 8 May on the first May at. We then decided on Wednesday to ride the bus to Burgos, Leon and Thursday for Friday after Sarria to address from where the last five stages to Santiago. This concerns us less about the Compostela but to the feeling, arrived to be and not to push an unfinished business remaining before us. We will, therefore, if all is well now sometimes go SHOULD, at 28.04. arrive in Sanstiago, at 29.04. go to Finisterre and drop our stones there (since we the Cruz de Ferro This time is withheld), at 30.4. The pilgrims worship in Sanstiago visit and at 1.5. . Fly back All this has little to do with what we wanted to do here, but after all is what has happened to health, the last "resort" dar.

The Quote of the Day comes from my sister Marion and is under the comments be the day before been finished. "Take everything as it comes, it will already have what someone thought about it."

How Long To Leave My Jerky In Dehydrator

19/04/2010 - Santo Domingo de la Calzada - Belorado (22 km)

a nice day began with a late and getting up a hearty morning shower ... lovely! The weather was mixed, it looked about not going to rain. Ca. 15 degrees might have promised a nice walk. Went out of Santo Domingo, past at the Parador from the Cathedral and a dirt track next to the N 120 towards the small Bergdoerfchen Grañon. The Spaniards are now trying to the impact of the economic crisis mt public investment as low as possible to keep what means for the pilgrims, including along the pilgrimage will be built and built and built ... so well on the way to Grañon on the red mud our hiking boots to a windchill complained 1.5 kg per shoe. As the meadows before Grañón a good opportunity to "facilitate" were again. In Grañón we visited for a small breakfast or the local church with her aussergewoenlichen font (a concrete shell with a diameter of about 2m) and then continued on our way. Meanwhile, the sun came out and it was on the plane after shadowless Redecilla del Camino Pretty hot. We passed the landmark of La Rioja and wandered into the now third province of Castile and Leon. In Redecilla we provided us with an ice cream, and I made the mistake of letting my backpack and walking stick that I had two years ago while accompanying the 800 km to Santiago faithful to stand before the bar. When leaving the bar, my backpack was still there, the stock had gotten legs. So I sat once on the way without walking aids, which went just over 16 kg Rucksackgeswicht on the back pretty hard on the legs. Frank later kindly lent me his Teleskopstoecke and from there went off like greased. We crossed a small hill and watched us from a burning pile of dung, the smoke clouds generated unimaginable that the east wind of course, exactly the way were blown over. Jacqueline and I took a detour of about 500 m in sales and worked around the manure pile, for Melinda and Frank it was called "Eyes Wide Shut." The pile was larger than could be seen from the front. Correspondingly, the two later ;-)) reached behind a small village of Camino smelled again the N 120 and was on the last 8 km of their side Belorado. About 5 km before Belorado we made our first experience with German Buspilgern, which were suspended in a small little place with her "Reisefuehrerin" and for this more verbose explanations the long road ahead to the hotel with comfortable double rooms were on the road. Frank and I tried for a short break or to catch the Buspilger and to engage in a conversation, but due to the fact that we had six more hours of hiking under their belts, we could not make it anymore. And so we walked past the cozy after Belorado mega hostel "A Santiago", which comes along rather than sports bar and offered the Buspilgern with double rooms to stay. At least they can at home say, do they have in a "hostel" We slept. We went to the hostel "Cuatro Townships, which we have come to know as very comfortable and were there with about 10 people, almost" among us. " During an evening stroll then happened for the worst case ... when entering a "Schlecker" market, I overlooked a small step, unlatched to and immediately felt in the already injured right foot for days a strong breaking. Now swelled to about twice the size of the ankle and it hurt the animal ... Whether well mean the end of our Way of St. James? We have already since the beginning of our journey had the feeling that a higher power has conspired against us to prevent and wants us to arrive in Santiago. Despite Kanalboeschungs-long walks up and down and I had to have at home for 5 years to do no injury to his foot and here in a week two? Sadly, this day ended, I did it with batteries Kuehl, ibuprofen and Voltaren my best to relieve the pain ... obs help?

Today I was too frustrated to me about a saying of the day to worry about ...

Small Footprint All In One

18/04/2010 - Suction - Santo Domingo de la Calzada (32 km)

early were at 6.00 clock today we wake up to classical music by Handel and Bach. We spent half an hour to get up, but yesterday we had already all the clothes for today's mammoth stage deal down to Santo Domingo. My mood after getting up, which I had no problems at home varies here between sullen and latently aggressive ;-) Somehow I have the impression that "parents" the hostel at night the clock forwards by a few hours to speed the pilgrims get rid of. After the short doctoring our wounds, we informed us what the Others planned for today. Ralf and Marlies hats, like yesterday already indicated, nauseous caught and they will wander about 8 km and the luggage can be pre chicken. Annette would like to go only 16 km to Azofra and we seem to be the only ones who set out in the face three challenging hills on the 32 km from Santo Domingo. We said goodbye with a few little tears crushed by Ralf and Marlies, that we will no longer see well, are not without trade before have email addresses and phone numbers. Then we set out in misty and cold morning mood. The fact that today we once were "below us", gave us the opportunity to chat sometimes over things that we currently employ both and I must say, the peace has brought us a lot. Supported by a landscape that is not with the monotonous plateau of the Rioja Alta really much hergab and therefore could not distract too, we have during the 10 hours of walking really have time can for us to take himself, without the pace or the sensibilities of fellow pilgrims Eight have to give. Two long breaks in Azofra Cirinuela and provided for the necessary refreshments and for a fruitful rain, we arrived around 17:00 clock in Santo Domingo. Surely some of you know the legend with chicken and rooster in the local cathedral ... if not beautiful ... please: In the Middle Ages, a young German pilgrims walked to Santiago and arrived with his parents in Santo Domingo. There is a love Farmer's daughter in the young man who said love is not. Frustrated, the woman accused (as they are just so ;-)) the young pilgrims of the theft and was sentenced to death by hanging. When the parents came back on their return to Santo Domingo, they found their son, while on the line connected, but alive, sitting on the shoulders of Saint Domingo. They asked the judge for mercy for her son when he just ate a roast chicken. He replied: "Your son is as dead as this chicken," as if the chicken got up from the plate and flew out the window. Since then located in the Cathedral of Santo Domingo chicken and rooster. These two are the same we pay a visit and on that occasion a Mass with pilgrims and blessing followed by choral concert.

But first there are the saying of the day:
care with a path without obstacles ... however, he leads you nowhere ... (From the hostel of Santo Domingo de la Calzada)

Best regards Horst

Example Of Certificate For Car Insurance

17:04 .2010 - Logroño - Sucker (21 km)

some point it had to happen: the first rainy day ... but from the beginning ... we were out of our great sleep at 5.00 clock suddenly torn, as a French pilgrims decided to break up at 5.00 clock, switched on the light and therefore all 23 fellow pilgrims from sleep ripped ... grrr ... But never mind ... we wanted to leave early anyway. So we took each morning procedure of bladder care, lotion and connect legs in attack and broke with Annette on already at 7.00 clock. Ralf and Marlies went this morning ... pretty bad if it was the fact that Ralf has run yesterday found 15 km with Fli-flops, to air his feet, you do not know. In view of the rainy weather, we changed our plans from an early age and not infiltrated the originally planned 30 km to Najera, but contented ourselves with 21 km in the Bergdoerfchen Ventosa. Over a long shopping street with a windchill 60 bank branches we left Logrono, reaching a beautiful recreation area with a large lake, on which a number of carp anglers tried with huge hooks and half a roll of fish. Clear that we had to stop there for a moment. We left the park again and climb a challenging hill to Navarrete. This hill you know possibly from books or documentaries about the Camino de Santiago. In the chain-link fence between the road and Camino pilgrims have woven thousands wooden crosses. Overall, I estimate the number sure to well over 100,000 pieces. We also completed this collection back to our own crosses and then migrated to Navarrete. There, many pilgrims went limp due to the weather and let go with taxis to Najera. An absolute NO-GO! Only diseases justifying ... Luxury taxis pilgrims tststs ... ... we visited in any case the Church of Navarrete impressive with its imposing high altar and took us through vineyards and olive groves after Ventosa, where we arrived around 14.00 clock already. The hostel is among the best on the Camino. Tasteful furnishings, new beds and double rooms! A dream. This fireplace and classical music. Herrlich. And all because ... Ralf and Marlies can not be addressed, but to present ... Frank and Jacqueline, Annette and many others. A very neat and clean kitchen invited to cook together and we looked up everything offered in-house shop and somehow fit with rice. The result was a vegetable mix that looked just as adventurous and smell, but tasted really delicious. After dinner we sat together in the lounge or the wine and chatted about everything under the sun ... so long that we would have forgotten the clock at 22.00 incipient sleep. When talkin forget the time. Simply beautiful ...

The Quote of the Day comes today from Meli and certainly is not understandable at first does not even bother ... you ... well I needed a moment to grasp the full meaning: "A stick is a stick and no one !

Pilgergruesse tomorrow and the best in the country!

Labeled Parts Of The Nina

16.04.2010 - Torres del Rio - Logroño (21 km)

Today, it was relatively difficult to us to leave the most comfortable beds in the hostel before 8:00 clock and it was then a little later, when we took today's stage in the attack. A gorgeous summer weather accompanied us and with it a great landscape, although one or the other mountain had ready for us, but impressive panoramas offered. In the beginning, during the first 11 km from Viana, a little bite was announced as the constantly changing up and down pretty much went to the shins. Once in Viana, we appealed for an extensive Fruehstueckspause patatas bravas and freshly squeezed orange juice and let cool left our feet. Half an hour later we got our walking boots then again ;-)) and started into the second half, a vast plain to Logrono. 5 km before the finish we crossed the border of the province of Navarre, and reached the next wine-growing region, La Rioja. Through an industrial area and over an impressive coal mine we walked in with Annette Martin of the United States and Mikael from Denmark in the city, not without advance or at Dona Maria to take a break, which for decades before the city limits of Logrono Pilgerpaesse tossing and sells drinks and souvenirs. On a bench under a fragrant lilac bush, we rested ourselves and refueled by the attractive surroundings with new force. Over a long bridge over the Ebro we came into town and we sought out the Famous city hostel. Since these, however, neither washing machine, nor any facilities for heating or tired pilgrims offered, we opted for a private hostel just off the road on a large site with lots of benches and that was the right decision. From the urban hostel we heard later that one had a cold shower and a cold that has at least one fellow pilgrims evil. This is a bit too much of a good. We had a 24er-bedroom, ample space and a hot shower. Lovely! The Pilgermenu we were in a restaurant next to the hostel and had fun with Ralf and Marlies for 10 The hard beds then you did by the way and let us fast wegschlummern least. Before falling asleep, I learned more from the Internet, that has an ash cloud of a volcanic eruption in Iceland across Europe were shut down all air traffic and a short detour to the Ryanair site showed then that at the moment, all flights from Santiago gecancelled. Because it's really fortunate that we still have three weeks until the flight back ... until then, everything should be done.

Given our good mood fits the saying of the day:
"Go your way, and He will carry out"

Topheavy Chested Older Women

15.04.2010 - Estella - Torres del Rio (29 km)

Before today's stage, which one of the longest stretches of the Camino, I was due to the events of the last days due respect ... but not least because of the commitment of Marlies and Ralf, walk with us, we left for a small, on the Hospitaleros, the hostel parents donated breakfast. We left Estella, reaching, always beautiful hill, after about an hour, the monastery with the famous wine Irache well. We tried vigorously to us for to strengthen the other kilometers. Whether the wine or the excellent weather for the good mood on the Camino was responsible ... you do not know ... In any case, the Vino Tinto is recommended from Irache much. He is in the way, Würselener EDEKA available at a good price. After a two hour about the ups and downs, we arrived around noon in Villamayor de Monjardin where we are in the urban hostel, which is run by volunteers German weekly, did break. Such a job we could also imagine times. We'll think on occasion even closer on this topic. strengthened with green tea and fresh oranges, it went through the vineyards of the middle Navarra and endless wheat fields on the grueling road to Los Arcos. Two years ago we had the impression never to come there and yesterday it was similar. At 15:00 clock we met yet in the beautiful town and he was even more beautiful church. We decided to go in favor of a shorter stage on Friday also the last 8 km to Torres del Rio and to take us to spend the night in your memory remained Hostel Casa Mari. On this last km are caught then the first downpour accompanied by an open, so we were glad when we could put them in the inn, the washing machine in motion. Also last night we cooked together again. There was Spaghetti Aglio e Olio with Garlic properly ... we are among us and if all stink, it `s not even on ... Tired, but uebergluecklich about our performance on the previous day, we fell into bed at 22.00 clock. Again and again shot me yesterday of the Sentence to clear through the head and mobilized huge reserves of power: "You can do it because you want it!"

13./14.04.2010 - On The Road Again ?

Hi,
thank you for your good wishes and the Daumendruecken ... ... it helped that we have reported to us not as was not because we desire to Blogging is passed ... it is so that in our region is renowned for granted broadband internet here in Spain yet to be seen as the exception. During the last two days I was truncated from the outside world. Therefore, I venture now features a short Timewarp and jump on the evening of 13 April after Puente La Reina. I sat all day in the hostel, while Meli on the Wegmeine guardian angel came to know (in the best and truest sense of the word). Ralf from Hamburg is the way for a honeymoon, after he had married in September 2009 its Marlies. He is Shiatsu coach and promised to look at my feet in the evening. He did so well ... and the suspicion that the diagnosis of arthritis could be wrong (a Sntzuendung is red, warm and swollen, I did not like) proved true. Even after the first session I felt so good that I could've run again. The pain had completely disappeared. So I could win on Tuesday evening a realization of the day: There are angels, and they are among us. Sometimes If you walk across the way ...

Wednesday morning, then I wanted to not be spirited, even though the pain was barely noticeable and I decided to take a step further bus to Estella. Meli set out around 8:00 Uhrmit our Pilgergrueppchen on the way and I trudged to the bus stop bad-tempered. My mood worsened when I saw that I had to wait well over two hours on the bus. I then brought together for this crazy for baggage € 1.84 to the 20 km distant destination. Nice greetings from here to the ASEAG :-) After my arrival in Estella, I could then spend another two hours on the road to the hostel opens at 13.00 clock. In the afternoon I drove me with showers and reading. Meli came relatively late to our little group and was totally flat. Since we wanted to sell all over Estella no restaurant to eat, then I cooked dinner for everyone. Perfect ... this has once again made up and go on the Camino ... Because every time you cook dinner together, is this is a very special Pilgergefuehl. After the meal I had was a shiatsu session with Ralf and the result is that I can go well again on Thursday would. Slowly, of course, but it would go. Very fitting slogan of the day: Camino de Santiago - no pain, no glory "

Cat House Isabela Soprano

13/04/2010 - nach zwei zur Pause Etappen gezwungen ;-(

Hi everyone,

I reported yesterday were enthusiatic about our mileage, Today I was abruptly brought back to earth. The pain in his right ankle have improved despite bandage, ointment and ibuprofen, but rather worse, which makes every step to a single ordeal. Imagine, every step of a wasp stings you in the foot ... something similar ... this morning I am, after Meli is broken up with Annette and Ronald to Puente la Reina, a taxi back to the hospital in Pamplona. There, a doctor who could speak nothing but English, the foot of the guy who can just about anything except understand English to some extent has been viewed. What I understood was, "cinque dias Reposo" ... so worst case ... a forced break of 5 days, which just be the most beautiful sections of the Camino are. I would now go so good with the bus or taxi and Meli ;-( I could see when walking .... no ... I cried ... but we contemporaneous promised that we will not give up, even when our second Camino seems to be under an unlucky star. He will this time be only at the end when we in Santiago embrace the St. James symbolic. If I have the Doc understood correctly, I can in three days time to try carefully to see if console running works again ... maybe your hopes a little with me?

With the slogan of the day, I try, even if it currently schwerfaellt.
The Camino always has the right answers!

Christmas Welcome Greeting At Church

12.04.2010 - 2. Etappe: Larrasoaña - Cizur Minor (21 km)

Hello in the home,

it is odd ... stages, which occurred in 2008 us hard and tedious, we do this year "in passing". Today's route took us from 7:00 clock of Larrasoaña from over beautiful forest paths through the valley of the river Arga ... small villages were more the rarity and when a few houses appeared along the way, we were not passing through the center, but it. Over a mountain pass, we reached a beautiful medieval bridge, which forms the entrance to Villava, a suburb of Pamplona. In Villava way, there is a super tasty "Tortilla de Patata", which is why we have a bar located at the Camino for a broad Fruehstueckspause used. Then we went through the imposing city walls in the city of Pamplona, but which belong to the "festivos," the inhuman bull run, not very festive look and also due to extensive road works very noisy comes along, so we wandered through the first big city soon. According to the University premises, it went over a road up a steep hill to Cizur Menor, which we achieved in respect of about 13.00 clock.

We stay in the hostel today by Ms Maribel Roncal, a very nice French girl, the touching concern for "their" pilgrimage, and even supplied wounds on their feet personally. Also, the Menu del Peregrino is for tonight already in the local Restaurant booked ... for the physical well-being is simply taken care of. We also have the chance to wash our laundry and dry, Pilgrim Heart, what more do you want?

The weather was in spite of some harmless-appearing clouds in the early morning dream. The usual 20-25 degrees and bright sunshine to us is if we are to believe the predictions, and accompany a little. Join us also do some "blind passengers," the first and the bubbles are well known strong shoulder pain is currently ubiquitous. If we failed to take our experiences, so it is now but from day to day go better.

worries me since yesterday, is preparing a descent to Zubiri latent noticeable contraction in the right ankle with every step ... maybe it's just a sign that warns us to rest, because so far we were on the two days before the opening of the hostels destination. I try now, the pain in the pharmacy with a resurrected Stuetzbandage and massive counter Voltaren cream and hope, especially ahead of tomorrow's ascent to the Alto Perdon, again reasonably free of symptoms can walk to. Meli is a cucumber, as always, highly motivated, and also sets a tight step of the day.

Our mood is so well ... we can infer a lot of nice acquaintances, for example, with Annette from Muenster, the way because of many sad events in the family goes, Jean-Francois, who fishes as happy as me and Danielle, who took up his retirement three months ago and now with the newly acquired "rest" for a more fulfilled work life does not begin so incredibly much can. All of them are interesting people with whom we are sure to enjoy yourself in the coming weeks.

Sun .. we'll still nice place in the sun, then sleep for an hour and then dinner here for the pilgrimage ...

But first there are the word of the day, a pilgrim blessing (not only for pilgrims) from Roncesvalles:
May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be always at your back,
may the sun shine warm upon your face,
may the rain fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again

may god hold you in the palm of his hand

best regards from

Left Ear Burning Good Or Bad

11.04.2010 - 1. Etappe: Roncesvalles-Larrasoaña (28 km)

love At last it going today ... the Night in Roncesvalles was fine. .. the hostel is run by Dutch volunteers who take turns to spend 4-6 weeks a year there to serve the pilgrims. One of the Hospitaleros I mean, to have known of two years, according to super nice and friendly was the greeting. The Hospitaleros have fairly established strict rules ... so you have to be to 22.00 clock in the hostel, otherwise you stand in front of closed doors. Point of 22.00 clock then silenced first the church music, then the light goes out .... today then tomorrow at 5:50 clock rang music again, at 6.00 clock went to the giant chandelier ... and we slept under one of whom came to meet us ;-) The rather, because we already very away early wanted to be able to take the upcoming Pyrenaeenabstieg alone in attack. Clock at 6.50 we left, even in nearly total darkness, the hostel and made for us. Three mountains today should wait for us, of which the Alto Erro was 500 m rise of the most demanding. But that was fine with a corresponding adjusted rate. Then followed a total of about 20 km of the descent to Zubiri infamous not for nothing ... the way there, you can almost no longer call path, it is more of a collection of large stones and slates. This is true in the shins and then we took them about 3 km longer than the 20 in Zubiri before ... we could have stayed, but we decided to drive the milestone of our previous Camino, Larrasoaña. We arrived there to clock 14.15, after about 7.5 hours of hiking. We were way out of bad memories in 2008. Today we realized our level of training and could do a very good "hit". The hostel is quite cluttered. One can not deny that we are in a Holy Year, currently we estimate that about 100 pilgrims per day on the road. This number is multiplied sure with the summer months ahead. Noteworthy is that, contrary to our experience of 2008, a few fellow pilgrims Santiago have as a goal. Most get off .... after we have written these lines in Burgos and Leon, we will go straight to Julie and Bill and a few Irishmen in a bar adjacent to the Menu del Peregrino ... I look forward to our first Sopa de Ajo ( garlic soup) ... hmmm ... tomorrow, we go back out early ... around 10:00 clock we will pass through Pamplona and stop after 22 km of our day's stage in Cizur Menor in the hostel a very nice lady. The day after tomorrow it will get challenging again ... we pass the Alto Perdon and make our way to Puente la Reina. The weather should be great all week ... if super is, as now, 25 degrees and bright sunshine ... we are saying that ;-)

of the day:
It is strange to travel to the future while in the past. together

Green Dress Shirt Black Suit What Tie

The somewhat bumpy start ....

Hello,

many regards from Roncesvalles, a small monastery in the middle of the Pyrenees at the end of our first Stage of the pilgrimage. The launch was successful, albeit with one or other unexpected difficulty ... after our parents and my sister had brought us last night ueberpuenktlich the Aachen central station and was able to exit the Thalys also promptly at 18.23 clock could go wrong no more. .. so we thought ... until we have 20 minutes later, shortly after Eupen, half an hour, about 30 km / h green pasture chugged and stopped in between every now and again. At some point, then went behind Welkenraedt nothing more ... and we were a full half hour because of "signal problems" on the "green field". With 40 minutes late to the train engineers then could not catch up even more, we arrived to clock 21.45 in the Paris Nord station. Enough time to change trains in the night train we had, so we thought again, "nothing can go wrong even more" Far from it, because ... "Les trains Corail Lunéa ne pas le 9 avril circulent" ... with these words, we were welcomed in Paris Austerlitz ... Super ... the night train has been at the station, but could not drive because of a strike by train drivers. After about 60 minutes of waiting at the front of the information service station it was called then, we would be today (Saturday) morning with a fast train to Bayonne go and spend the night in the parked overnight train ... then we have done, though was not to think of sleeping, because in our compartment anyone stayed overnight who was talking in his sleep ... not only spoke, but told his family history. This morning we went so totally whacked to Montparnasse train station and then to a 5-hour tour in far too small TGV to Bayonne. Here we expected 25 degrees and beautiful weather. Our first two pilgrim acquaintances, Claudia and Sandra attended from Switzerland take a taxi for an incredible 138.00 EUR to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and tomorrow will start from there on the Camino. We preferred to drive through because of the lost day to Roncesvalles and tomorrow to start from here. Had just after an impressive service with an excellent blessing pilgrims pilgrims with the menu Here everyday baked trout with fries and "Vino Tinto". already had a lot of fun with Bill and Julie of Denver and a Spaniard, has seen its name probably not. Anyway, we laughed a lot ... At the moment, while we write this, the lure of our bunk bed is getting louder. We will now create one Viertelstuendchen enjoy the great evening mood and then "listen mattress. Tomorrow we go to Larrasoaña ... if the day will be similar adventurous as it is today? We will report.

Best wishes to the homeland ...
Meli and Horst

Quote of the day: "Those who stay on the road stays on the line ... who strays from the path, get to know the area." Sometimes it's nice to come even from the way ;-))

When Wil My Due Date Be With Ivf

Tomorrow we `s going on ...

That was two years ago ... on the scoreboard had our Thalys suddenly an hour late ... God ... Sorry James ... Thanks be only a duck ;-)

The backpacks are packed, the clothes for the journey are already neatly folded ready, is the official table cleaned up fine ... there can go wrong but nothing more, or? Or so I thought until yesterday when my mother all excited with the local section of the newspaper and I immediately turned up the headline "signals are on red, ICE's and Thalys from Aachen Stolberg and fall" in the eye fell. Since I was but suddenly hear everything and that was certainly not excessive panic, our outward journey was but two years ago with no really good start. I remember like it was yesterday when we arrived at the central station and an announcement said that the Thalys from Cologne was about an hour late ... it does not really fit well when in Paris, only 35 minutes in order to a station on the Metro to get to the other in order for another 10 minutes later to catch the night train single of the week ;-) Thank God it turned out that the delay affected the Thalys in the opposite direction, to Cologne. The change trains in Paris at that time had worked like a charm, except for the fact that we had purchased lack of knowledge of the French language with the kind help of a French the wrong metro tickets and put about 20 € in the sand. That had to be sustained but ... The train was then the hardness of the ... you can not describe the need to have experience ... I hope we mrgen again have the pleasure in such 70s traveling wagon. I will document the then immediately photographed and you can participate in this fun ...

I was often asked today, how I am ... this is somehow to describe not so easy. It is most likely a mixture of anticipation with butterflies in the stomach and uncertainty, with almost an upset stomach ... now we are on the Camino France for the second time and it will most likely be more than two years ago. The Holy Year 2010, on the 25th of St. Jacob July falls on a Sunday, will produce about three times as many pilgrims as in 2008. The weather conditions have led to some advanced ... a call in St. Jean-Pied-de-Port, where it currently raining, raining and in the few breaks here and there, sometimes raining. to cross at the thought of rain in the sturzbachartigem Ibaneta Pass to Roncesvalles, I will present very different. An experience of the last Caminos strengthens me ... but the path has prepared answers to every difficulty. Unforgettable is the night when I went to bed with such pain in the firm belief that I am the next morning ... and could never run in the morning all pain was completely gone and we completed 36 km, the longest leg of our entire Camino. Unforgotten the hostel in Larrasoaña, which had no heating and soaking wet when we got down to their underwear. Never, so we thought, our clothes would be dry until the next morning in this moist environment. In fact, our clothes dried well and we could wear them as fresh from the dryer again. Sometimes the St. James small but significant miracle spends on the pilgrimage, and so we would appreciate it if the first little miracle in 2010 would be the day of a sunny Saturday.

Sun .. then go `s time now fill up the last sleep ... when I log in the next few days, we will already have the first 40-50 km behind us. We are happy to report back from our first experience. Until then, all of you all the best!

Regards Horst

How To Make A Yamaha Golf Cart Faster

The countdown is on ....

First, we want our blog readers a happy Easter. While we are naturally a little Easter and Meli `s birthday party, we are also busy preparing for our second pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, which we will compete in the past five days, next Friday. The plan was to learn from the experiences of our past Caminos and to complete the path with much less "pounds" in the backpacks ... but if we now raise his eyes to the things that we have gained in our work and essential to have (!), we should say goodbye to the idea immediately, not to be ultimately disappointed. Organizationally, we are, unlike two years ago today "way ahead" ... even the flight confirmation for the return flight to Frankfurt is already printed and in the remaining Documents stored. So everything is done for our second Camino, where we hope again, answers to many important questions we get.
especially pleased we have come to us today addresses two way ... the first of our, sorry to say now "former" Kaplan Tran, who is currently on a visit to his former homeland Vietnam. Dear Kaplan, we will miss her very much. We do, however, already a good start in your new role and will certainly come to your launch service in June after Wegberg. At this point we want to very publicly say THANK YOU for everything you have done for us. We owe them that the word "Church" is filled with life again for us.

The second we got on Facebook from our pilgrims from South ... Dear brother Roland Roland, if you read this ... for sure we will think in the coming weeks, many times to our time together ... at least if we Roncesvalles take in kidney bean soup, fried trout with chips and sweetened yoghurt our first "Menu del Peregrino" to us. Since that time we had even met yet, knowing that we are 31 days and many deep conversations later, would come together in Santiago.

From now on we will get back more often at this point to word and look forward to all your interest in our pilgrimage. You and all of you enjoy reading!

Kind regards
Meli and Horst

What Do Colorado Id Look Like

2010 - here we go ...

After several weeks of planning and coordination of this year's vacation time with our employers is now clear that we are in again this year to fulfill one of our biggest dreams. It again goes to the St. James ... many memories and deep friendships with great people lead us to the strains of the Camino Frances once again to take us to pack our bags and again on foot to the 790 km between the south of France Saint-Jean -Pied-de-Port and Santiago de Compostela, Galicia break. After

in 2008 are returned, we had begun to consider which way the second time could well make sense. Our thoughts were here from the English coast path to march off from our home on Maastricht and Paris, Le Puy and Vézelay in annual stages ... of course ... but ultimately the same way about Pamplona, Burgos, Leon and Astorga, "made the race" ... we want to put the focus this year to strengthen our composure. Since it is not wrong to go to known paths again.

Since yesterday we are now, thanks to a very friendly adviser to the Deutsche Bahn also in possession of our tickets. On 9 April 2010 ends this evening as los ... the first time .. the Thalys takes us to Paris, there `s going on an overnight train with sleeping bunks down close to Bayonne, where there are already first-Pyrenees views, which shows us that there is not much more can be up . The last 80 km we will then travel with the "Bummelbahn" Ter Aquitaine, always along the Nive, a stunningly beautiful river, past increasingly challenging mountain panoramas to the starting point of our journey in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.

The current plans look like, we provided the Ibaneta Pass will be closed due to avalanche danger again not to go this route over Huntto, Otherwise, the first day after Valcarlos and only the second to Roncesvalles ... 1600 meters on the first day are absolutely insane and the other course is feasible from a total of 31 km according to our experience from 2008 in any case, since we can march off again until around 11:00 clock.

goes in the next few days in the detailed planning that can be followed on this blog. It is necessary to complete our equipment and the stages as best we can to fix.

Ultreia!
